Leon Battista Alberti in his De re aedificatoria of 1452, the first and most masterly architectural treatise, spoke of the essential criteria for beauty: numerus, the number of distinct and similar parts of the object, finitio, their proportion, and collocatio, the arrangement of the object itself and of its parts in relation to one another.

Numerus: Our proposal takes advantage of easily pre-manufactured components by the repeated use of standardized panels, steel pipe and metal roofing and for the rapid deployment of all the installations.

Finitio: Our proposal seeks in the association of distinct and similar components to suggest the proportions of our heterogeneous society.

Collocatio: Our proposal uses the flexibility of the assembly of the parts to compose canopies of distinct character but of common and identifiable components.

Our intention is to look at each of the neighborhoods individually and adjust the composition of the parts accordingly for orientation, scale, degree of openness, while at the same time taking into account the nature of the neighborhood itself.
