The original stair was in dangerous condition and needed to be replaced as soon as possible.

A surprisingly complex design/build project, we had to fit a new entry stair in a tight space, a tight time-line, and a tight budget for a condo association which required a high level of management control to keep the work on budget and on time so that interruption of access to the units was kept to a minimum while high standards of design and construction were maintained.

At the same time, the clients required a design that would create an identifiable presence on the street as well as increase the value of the units served by the stair.
